(I’ve taken the Delicious feed off my side bar and am having my saves fed in as blog posts. This way I also get to share my commentary on the links I found.)

  • Use Google more effectively and efficiently with these strategies.
  • Some interesting statistics on what is being used and how much it is being used.
  • There are 4 maps on this page. Find out which states ban cell phones while driving and who is included in the ban. This information is from Oct. 2008, so it may not be the most current. Check with your state to be sure what the laws are.

  • Resource Shelf has links to maps from the World Health Organization.

  • Interesting side of the debate about how much information people should share on social networking sites and the legality. I think the best advice is generally to be careful about what you talk about, just in case. But I'd imagine that we'll see more of this type of thing because the use of these sites is so pervasive.

  • This page provides dates for the speeches. After the speech is over, the speech will be linked to the date. Miss your states speech? Find it here.

  • "One in seven adults lacks the literacy skills required to read anything more complex than a children's book, a staggering statistic that has not improved in more than 10 years, according to a federal study released last week."

This will have some serious implications potentially for those who find themselves out of work in the current economy.

  • This is a neat idea for something different than those store bought memory games. The tutorial also includes the template for making the cards. Pick some of your favorite fabric scraps and make-up a fun game to play with the kids in your life. Just might make one of these for my nephew for Valentine's Day…or Lincoln's birthday.

  • Another great Etsy find. Incredibly cute cat plushies. Also sells an adorable bear cross-stitch patter.

  • I'm love this idea for a perpetual calendar. I like to take pictures of strange things anyway, so why not letters and numbers. Hold them together with photo clips and you've got a creative, personalized calendar that doubles as art.

  • Great idea using dental floss and those white round sticky labels. Things you could pick up at the dollar store. Seriously cheap and fun project to add some pizzazz to a dreary winter day.
