One way I keep myself amused when I travel by car is to listen to talk radio. Another thing I do is notice strange things along the way.
As I traveled back and forth from IL this week, here are a few things I saw:
*A truck carrying Pork Plasma. That’s what it said. And that it was not for human consumption. I had to wonder what pork plasma would be used for. It was a gross though so I stopped wondering.
*A pickup truck with stacks of empty bins marked “offal” in it. I thanked the gods that those bins were empty. Wonder if the driver knew the tanker truck driver.
*Iowa is growing a wind farm. Every time I travel through a few more windmills have sprouted. What kind of seeds do you use to grow a windmill?
*Ended up behind a Rock the Vote bus that was belching out nasty fumes. Looks like it was quickly breaking down. Is there some irony in this?
*There were several Wisconsin license plates traveling through Iowa. Just sometime I noticed.
*Green trees look even greener next to tree with leaves turning yellow, red, and orange.
*The trip always seems longer on the way home. Why is that?
There was probably more, but I was driving so I couldn’t take notes or anything like that.
