Interesting post about fake reference questions for MLIS students. Personally I don't like them and think it fails to meet the intended purpose. Not to mention it wastes time that a librarian could spend on a real question.

Turn some old sheets into a delightful pillow. It's an easy crochet project that even I could manage.
-
I've always enjoyed the look of silhouette pictures. This is a unique and creative idea that could be extended beyond a Valentine's Day project.

I'm not good at giving criticism. Although I'm probably not as bad as I think I am. Anyway, here are some good suggestions on how to effectively pass along criticism. As a boss, I won't be able to avoid it, but at least I can make it useful

I don't know about me and a Xacto knife, but it's almost worth the risk to cut out this cute Valentine.

Interesting things that you can do with WordPress…paid version of course since it involves more access.

Lovely little charts for the four seasons.

Funny and entertaining list of various sexy librarian stuff.

I'm curious to see what's coming next. Libraries are seeing more use due to the economy. What will we do when things improve?

This is a great list with screenshots, explanations, and pricing.

Spent all your money on the gift and need some free wrapping. Print this cute design on a plain brown lunch sack and you're all set.

Make up some tasty single apple pies (think McDonald's but better) with the recipe at Twig and Thistle and then print out these adorable boxes to put them. Voila! A delicious and handmade Valentine's gift.

A super simple craft – all you have to do is bend the clips! But what a difference that one bend makes. I think this would be a fun gift for anytime…not just Valentine's Day.

You can print out these wonderful paper dolls. I remember playing with paper dolls when I was a child. I loved changing the outfits and it was probably a relatively cheap toy in those days. Now you can print these for FREE and introduce young girls in your life to the joy of paper dolls.

A great pattern for the gloves in the Coraline movie. I think this movie will be the one I go see on Valentine's Day…by myself since DH is still traveling. It's okay since I don't think he'd care much on way or the other.
